Life’s Better Off the Beaten Path
We’re Jared & Ang, and Off Grid Enthusiasts was created around something pretty simple: we’d rather be outside exploring than sitting still wondering what we’re missing.
For us, adventure can mean pointing the boat toward a remote anchorage on the BC coast, heading to the cabin for a few days off grid, fishing for dinner, pulling prawn and crab traps, hunting, camping, exploring a backroad or simply finding somewhere new that’s a little farther away from everyday life.
We’ve spent years building our life around the outdoors, and eventually realized we wanted a place to share more of it—the incredible destinations, the people we meet, the food we catch and harvest, the gear we use, and all the unexpected moments that happen along the way.
And there are plenty of unexpected moments.
Boats break. Weather changes. Plans fall apart. The dogs create chaos. Sometimes getting somewhere is half the adventure. 😂
That’s exactly what we want Off Grid Enthusiasts to be about.
Not just the highlight reel.
We want to share the real experience—the incredible days, the challenges, the lessons learned, the laughs with friends and those moments when you look around and realize there’s nowhere else you’d rather be.

It’s about spending more time outside, exploring new places, living a little simpler and making the most of the time we have.
